He completed his career as Head of Information at the British Antarctic Survey. For ten years after retirement he was an Associate Lecturer at Cambridge University delivering courses/weekend schools/ and on-line courses on climate change for adults, and lecturing for the Open University in Oceanography.
He will give a talk called 'The Certainty of Climate Change'. This is based on the recent assessment of the IPCC prepared as evidence for CoP 26, but with additional emphasis on the importance of the polar regions in understanding past climate and sea level changes.
